Hosting and operations: included in every Melta product

For anyone who wants to run their own digital product without looking after servers, certificates or updates. At Melta, operations are part of the plan: your product runs on a globally distributed network, isolated with its own database, and scales by itself. You rent no server and sign no maintenance contract.

What you get

When Melta builds your product, you get more than the code: the product is run for you as well. These four things come with every product, from the first day in the preview to live operation:

Globally distributed hosting

Your product is served from a globally distributed network, close to whoever is opening it right now. You do not choose a location or configure anything.

Isolated, with its own database

Every product runs on its own and has its own database. Your product's data sits apart from the data of every other product on the platform.

Scales by itself, TLS included

Three people or a rush after a newsletter: capacity grows with demand without you changing anything. TLS encryption is there from the start.

Two environments

Preview and live are separate. In the preview you test with demo data and test logins; live is what your customers see. Going live takes seconds, and you can roll back to the previous live version.

How it works

There is nothing for you to do about hosting. Operations begin with the build and keep running from there:

Confirm the concept - You describe your product and Melta writes a concept in plain language. It contains no hosting decisions, because there are none for you to make.
Build and preview - Melta builds the product, usually within 24 hours. You get an email when it is done, and the product is already hosted in the preview on a melta.ai subdomain.
Go live - When the preview is right, you go live. No new build, no waiting. From the Growth plan your product runs on your own domain, bought through Melta or connected.
Operations keep running - From then on Melta runs what a live product needs: hosting, payments, email, legal pages, support inbox, monitoring and analytics. You only get in touch when you want to change something, and that happens in the chat.

What runs in the background without you having to set it up:

Protection against spam and abuse - Logins and forms in your product are protected against automated requests.
Controlled outbound connections - What your product calls out to is controlled.
Usage view - You see what your product consumes: hosting, email, storage and AI.
Maintained building blocks - Legal pages, payments, mail and analytics are platform building blocks. Melta maintains them and updates them in your product without a rebuild.

Who this matters for

Founders with a SaaS product. If you launch a subscription product, you do not want a full server to be the reason you are up at night the moment a post takes off. Scaling and isolation are built in, and payments run through a building block that Melta maintains.

What it costs

A concept uses only a few credits; afterwards your product runs on a plan per organisation with credits every month. All numbers and how the price is made up are on the pricing page.

Common questions

Do I need to rent a server or install anything?

No. Hosting is part of the plan. Your product runs on a globally distributed network, TLS included. You do not choose a location, install anything or look after updates to the environment.

What does isolated with its own database mean?

Every product runs separately from all others and has its own database. Your product's data is not mixed with that of other products, and no other product can reach it.

What happens if many people suddenly use my product?

Capacity grows automatically. There is nothing to reconfigure and nothing extra to book. What your product consumes along the way is shown in the usage view.

Who keeps my product up to date?

The platform building blocks (legal pages, payments, email and analytics) are maintained by Melta and updated in your product without a rebuild. You make changes to the product itself in the chat; change runs are included in every plan.

Can I see what my product consumes?

Yes. The usage view shows what your product uses for hosting, email, storage and AI. So you always know where you stand, without waiting for an invoice.
