Who it is for
Melta for freelancers and solo businesses
For designers, consultants, photographers, therapists and tradespeople who work alone and want a tool of their own: online booking, a client portal, invoicing or a digital product sold on the side. You describe it in plain language; Melta builds it, puts it online and runs it - one plan, no maintenance contract.
Where you are today
You are the whole business. Appointments arrive as messages and reach the calendar when you remember. Clients ask where their project stands and you dig through three apps. Invoices get written after hours. There are tools for all of it, but each wants its own subscription and none fits the way you work; having your own built used to mean an agency, a big budget and months. So you stick with spreadsheets and chats.
What Melta builds for you
Melta builds the tool your concept describes, not a template: logins, its own database, payments and email under your name. Four ideas that take a few sentences to describe:
Online booking
Clients pick a slot or a service, pay up front or by subscription and get a confirmation by email. Cancelling and rescheduling need no back and forth. See the example product SOMA Yoga Zürich.
Client portal
Every client gets their own login with project status, appointments, invoices and agreements in one place - the answer to the question that used to arrive by email.
Invoicing tool
Record your work, generate the invoice as a PDF and send it by email, with card payment straight from the invoice. The receipt goes out automatically; the payout lands in your bank account.
A digital product on the side
Templates, checklists or a guided walkthrough built on your expertise, sold once or as a subscription, with customer accounts and receipts. The example product ÜbergabeFix sells apartment handover protocols this way, singly or on an annual plan.
What runs in the background
Email goes out under your product's name (no-reply@yourproduct.melta.ai, or your own domain from the Growth plan), PDF receipts attached. Replies land in the support inbox at support@yourproduct.melta.ai, sorted by topic; you answer from the platform, and an AI auto-reply can be switched on - off by default, handing over to you. The imprint, privacy policy and terms come from the operator details you enter once in Melta, are editable without a rebuild and aimed at Switzerland, Germany and Austria - general information, not legal advice. Add hosting on a globally distributed network, spam protection on logins and forms, error monitoring and cookieless analytics with a weekly email report. No server to look after.
How it works
- Describe - You say in your own words what your tool should do, who uses it and what gets paid for, if anything. Melta asks up to four questions, none technical.
- Read the concept - You get a concept in plain language and change it in the chat until it fits.
- Have it built - When you confirm, the build starts, paid from the credits of your plan. A team of AI agents then builds the whole product - interface, logic, logins, database, payments, email, legal pages - typically within 24 hours, and emails you when it is done.
- Test the preview - Your product sits in a private preview with demo data and named test logins. You walk through bookings and purchases with test data; no real money moves.
- Go live - Melta first checks that your operator details are complete and, if your product sells something, that your payout account is connected. Then it goes live in seconds, no rebuild; you choose which preview data comes along and can roll back to the previous version.
- Change by chat - "Make the booking button green", "add a waiting list": you write it to your product's editor, watch it work and push the change to the preview or live.
What it costs
A concept uses only a few credits; afterwards your product runs on a plan per organisation with credits every month. All numbers and how the price is made up are on the pricing page.
Common questions
Is the Starter plan enough if I work alone?
Usually, yes. Starter includes one product, payments, email, the support inbox, analytics and change runs. If you later need a second product or your own domain, you move to the Growth plan. Until then your product runs on a melta.ai subdomain.
I have no company, just me. How do the imprint and payouts work?
You enter your operator details once in Melta: name, address, contact. The imprint, privacy policy and terms are generated from them - general information, not legal advice. For payouts you enter your business details and bank account in Melta, with no separate contract with a payment provider. When clients pay, they see your product as the merchant.
How do I change something later if I cannot code?
You write it as a chat message to your product's editor: a new field in the booking form, say, or a different price. You watch it work, can step in, check the result in the preview and put it live when it fits. Change runs are included in every plan.
Do I have to look after hosting, updates or outages?
No. Hosting, payments, email, legal pages, the support inbox, error monitoring and analytics are part of the plan, with no maintenance contract. Errors show up in one feed, and the chat reads the logs when fixing them. You only get in touch when you want to change something.
A tool that fits your work. Melta does the rest.
A concept uses only a few credits. Once you approve it, your product is built, put online and run for you - with email, a support inbox and legal pages under your name.
