Cookieless analytics: included in every Melta product

For anyone who wants to know who visits their product, where people come from and at which point they buy or leave, without adding a cookie banner or a third-party script. Melta measures visits inside the product, without cookies and without third parties. You see visitors, sources, campaigns, the funnel to purchase and the revenue per source, and you get a report by email every week.

What you get

Once a product is online, the questions start: is anyone coming? From where? What do people look at, and where do they drop off? With Melta, the product answers those questions itself. The measurement is built in, runs without cookies and loads no external script, so ad blockers do not stop it either.

Visitors and pages

Visitors, page views, the most visited pages, sources, countries and devices. Plus a comparison with the previous period, so you can tell whether things are heading the right way.

Funnel to purchase

Events at the money moments are built in: sign-up, checkout started, purchase. Together they form the funnel from visit to sign-up, checkout and purchase, and you see where people drop off.

Revenue per source

Links with campaign parameters are recognised, and every purchase is attributed to the source and campaign it came from. You see revenue per channel, not just clicks.

Live view, speed, weekly report

A live view shows the visits of the last few minutes, page speed is measured as well, and a report lands in your inbox every week. If you run several products, an organisation overview shows them side by side.

Your own visits as the operator and all visits to the preview are not counted.

How it works

  1. Nothing to set up - The measurement is part of your product and runs from the moment it goes live. There is no script to embed, no account to open with a third party and no cookie banner to add.
  2. Open the analytics - In Melta, every product has its own analytics page: visitors, page views, top pages, sources, countries, devices and campaigns, each compared with the previous period.
  3. Follow the money moments - Sign-up, checkout started and purchase are built in as events. The funnel shows you step by step how many carry on and how many leave, and revenue is reported per source and campaign.
  4. Tag your campaigns - When you share a link with campaign parameters, for example in a newsletter or on a social channel, your product recognises the campaign and attributes visits, sign-ups and purchases to it.
  5. Watch and read - The live view shows what has happened in the last few minutes, for example right after a newsletter goes out. The weekly report arrives by email, no login needed.

The measurement belongs to your product just like its legal pages do. How the imprint, privacy policy and terms come about at Melta is explained on the legal pages feature page.

Who this matters for

Numbers are useful when they support a decision. A few cases where the built-in analytics make a difference:

What it costs

A concept uses only a few credits; afterwards your product runs on a plan per organisation with credits every month. All numbers and how the price is made up are on the pricing page.

Common questions

Do I need a cookie banner for the analytics?

Not for Melta's analytics. The measurement sets no cookies and loads no third-party script; it is part of your product, so no banner is needed for it. You still see visitors, pages, sources, countries and devices.

Do my own visits count?

No. Your visits as the operator are not counted, and neither are visits to the preview. The numbers show the real visitors of your live product.

Where do events like sign-up or purchase come from?

They are built in. Melta places events at the money moments of your product: sign-up, checkout started, purchase. They feed the funnel from visit to sign-up, checkout and purchase, and the revenue per source and campaign. There is nothing to add later.

Can I see which campaign brings revenue?

Yes. When you share links with campaign parameters, the analytics attribute visits, sign-ups and purchases to the source and the campaign and show the revenue per source and per campaign. You see which channel brings customers and which only brings clicks.

Do I get the numbers without logging in?

Yes. Once a week Melta emails you a report with your product's numbers. If you run several products, Melta also shows an overview of all the products in your organisation.

Describe your product. The numbers come with it.

A concept uses only a few credits. From the moment it goes live, your product measures visitors, sources, the funnel and revenue per campaign itself, without cookies and without a banner.
