Marketing: campaign tracking and revenue per source

For anyone who wants to get their product known and know what worked. The assistant writes newsletters and search ads with you, and every product measures on its own where visitors come from, which campaign brings purchases and where people drop off. Without a third-party script, with a report every week.

What you get

Most marketing work fails not for lack of effort but because nobody knows what worked. At Melta the product answers that itself:

Campaign tracking

Share a link with campaign parameters, in a newsletter, on a channel or in an ad, and your product recognises it on the first visit and remembers source and campaign until the purchase.

Revenue per source

Every purchase is attributed to the source the buyer came through. You see revenue and purchases per channel and per campaign, not just clicks.

Funnel to the purchase

Visit, registration, checkout started, purchase: the funnel shows step by step where people drop off, so you improve the right place.

Weekly report

Every week a report arrives by email with visitors, page views and events compared with the week before. A live view shows what is happening right now, while a post is being shared, say.

Your own visits as the operator and all visits to the preview are not counted.

How it works

Measurement is part of every product. You set nothing up, you use it:

  1. Tag the link - Before a campaign you add parameters for source, medium and campaign to the link you share. A newsletter, a post, an ad: one link each.
  2. Visitors arrive - Your product recognises the parameters on the first visit and remembers them for that visit. No cookie, no external script, so no banner either.
  3. Purchases are attributed - When someone buys, the purchase is attributed to the source and campaign they came through. That happens in the checkout, without your product doing anything for it.
  4. Read and improve - The report shows sources, campaigns, the funnel and revenue per channel. Drop what does not work, do more of what does. Changes to the product itself, a clearer start page for instance, go by chat.

What Melta does not do for your marketing

Newsletters and search ads run through Melta: the assistant writes the draft, you approve it. Readers sign up with a confirmation and can unsubscribe with one click, a campaign's budget is reserved from your credits, and the Melta team reviews a product's first campaign. Social posts and other channels remain your work or your agency's. And whether it all paid off, numbers from the product itself tell you, instead of a third-party tool that misses half the visitors.

Who this matters to

For creators with a course platform. One link in the newsletter, one in the profile, one in a post: after a week you see which one brought purchases, and write the next newsletter accordingly.

For shops with an online shop. Ads cost money; revenue per source shows whether a campaign brings in more than it costs, without you matching orders by hand.

For founders with a SaaS product. The funnel from visit to subscription shows whether the problem is reach or the page where people drop off.

What it costs

A concept uses only a few credits; after that your product runs on one plan per organisation that brings credits for building and changes every month. Measurement is included in every product. All the numbers are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Does Melta advertise my product?

If you want it to, yes. The assistant writes newsletters and search ads with you, you approve them, and Melta sends or runs them. The budget of an ad is reserved from your credits; what is not spent comes back. On top of that your product measures which campaign brings visitors and purchases.

How do I tag a campaign?

You add campaign parameters for source, medium and campaign to the link you share, for a newsletter or a channel, say. Your product recognises them on the first visit and remembers them until the purchase.

Do I see revenue per channel?

Yes. Every purchase is attributed to the source and campaign the buyer came through. The report shows revenue and purchases per source and per campaign, not just clicks.

Do I need a cookie banner for this?

Not for the measurement. It runs without cookies and without third parties, inside the product; visitors are not tracked across days and ad blockers do not interfere. Only when purchases should count as the success of your ads do visitors have to agree in a banner, which the assistant builds in for you.

What do I get every week?

A report by email with visitors, page views and events per product, each compared with the week before. If you run several products, you see them in one overview per organisation.

Know which campaign brings purchases.
